It Was What It Was

Man I’ve been staring at this blank page for around 10 minutes. I don’t really know what else to say. The album’s finished!!!!! It’s 100% done. That’s why I haven’t been writing lately, just been in the zone.
The [Anagood Recording Collective] helped fund a lot of the recording, and Pete Wicker (from Glinter) even came down to have a nosy around. I’d never met him before then, and wasn’t expecting much, but he’s pretty nice, really passionate about our sound, he’s like our cool uncle.
That’s the thing man, SGH’s sound is something else. I’ve said it before but there’s really no other band like us right now, and I know I’m not the only one who thinks that.
I secretly hope that this album (we settled on “It Is What It Is, You Know What I Mean” BTW.) inspires kids to ditch guitars and play bass instead. Hopefully people understand the album. If they don’t now, I’d give it 20 years. If people in 2026 don’t get this album then I’m building a time machine and I’m gonna… explain my woes?
Jonah’s been a trooper too, he’s been taking time off work to come and document the whole process of making the album on his video camera. The ARC say it’d be great to turn the footage into a DVD for the deluxe edition or something. Finally, a film I star in!

As exciting as it was, what seemed like the dawn of a new era was really just the beginning of the end.
By early 2007, the members of Sweat Glass Halo would permanently part ways, making ‘It Is What It Is, You Know What I Mean?’ the band’s first and final studio album.

When will my CD arrive?
CDs will be shipped 2-3 working days from order placement, after which allow up to a week for delivery from the UK.
Are the bonus tracks really exclusive?
I’ve shared them with paid members of my Patreon community, but apart from that they aren’t available on streaming services, and won’t be for at least a year.
Are the signatures/numbering real or printed?
All real, done with sharpie. The band is fictional though, just in case you somehow didn’t realise.
Do you ship internationally?
Yes. If you cannot check out, please email me at music@rickyjamaraz.co.uk and let me know which country you’re in and I’ll get it sorted for you!
What if my CD arrives damaged?
Please get in contact with me at music@rickyjamaraz.co.uk with a video of the issue and a refund/replacement can be arranged, subject to availability.
